Faculty

At Excellia School, teaching starts from the belief that a classroom is where citizenship begins -- students learn best when they're active participants in their own learning, not passive listeners.

A hands-on approach from the early years

For our youngest learners, this means a hands-on methodology focused on training the senses -- vision, hearing, touch, taste and smell -- through repetition, recapitulation and structured activities covering personal care, good manners, cultural studies and early arithmetic. Even simple routines, like arranging toys and materials in the activity room, are treated as learning in disguise. Students are encouraged to become explorers, discovering and understanding through both curricular and co-curricular programmes built around festivals and events.

Smart Class technology in every classroom

Excellia has adopted Smart Class technology with interactive boards loaded with CBSE-aligned content for every class. This audio-visual teaching aid reinforces classroom concepts and adds clarity to how ideas are explained, backed by seminars, guest-faculty visits, field trips and project work as a regular part of learning -- not an occasional add-on.

Teaching built on multiple intelligences

Lessons are designed around the Multiple Intelligences approach, recognising that students learn in different ways. Excellia's faculty is periodically trained to hone their academic and teaching skills in line with this approach, because -- as the school sees it -- teaching isn't just a job, it's a mission.
