The Power of Words in the Classroom

An excellent workshop on ‘ Online Reflective Workshop for Excellian Teachers conducted by Ms. Bhavna and Ms. Urvashi,  beautifully reminded us of the silent strength teachers carry — their words. With empathy at its core, the session highlighted how a teacher’s voice can either build or break a child’s spirit.

Every word spoken in a classroom becomes a part of a child’s inner voice. A harsh comment can linger for years, while a kind affirmation can spark confidence and ambition. The workshop emphasized that empathy isn’t just a trait — it’s a teaching tool. When teachers speak with understanding, patience, and encouragement, they don’t just teach subjects, they shape lives. 

Let us all be mindful — because the right words at the right time can take a child to unimaginable heights.
